Often,
an organization is able to produce exercisable results
by bringing a problem
solving team together for a relatively long period of time.
On such workshops, an external facilitator is frequently
and effectively used, who can participate as moderator only,
or both as moderator and as professional consultant.
The consultant,
who may or may not be an expert on the topic in question,
will facilitate the process as an unbiased viewer
with a fresh point of view. His/her opinion will not be guided
or constrained by company prejudices and old thinking habits.
His/her approach can inspire the release of the other team
members’ thoughts and creative energy.
As moderator, our consultant
can help in the technical implementation of the workshop
itself, as well as increase the effectiveness
of the team by keeping the conversation continuously productive
with various methods and tools, as appropriate to the situation
and the phase the group is in. S/he can increase cohesion
in small groups, fine-tune team-member collaboration, and
guide
the group through fruitless debates and periods.
As external
moderators or consultants, we provide support in the
following areas:
- strategic planning
- visioning,
mission development
- management of change
- problem definition and
problem solving
- appraisal systems development
- appraisal and development
of skills training systems
